Reviewing Non-Linear Micro-artefacts’ Structure
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper reviews the implementation of a non-linear method, the spherical selforganising feature map that was able to recognise non-linear patterns in micro-artefacts, proposing the necessity for such recognitions in order to improve archaeological interpretations.

State Estimation of MEMs Capacitor Using Taylor Expansion
This paper deals with state estimation of micro tunable capacitor subjected to nonlinear electrostatic force. For this end a nonlinear observer has been designed for state estimation of the structure. Necessary and sufficient conditions for construction of the observer are presented. Stability of the observer is checked using Lyapunov theorem. Observer design is based on converting of differen...
متن کاملA Non-Destructive Method for Distinguishing Reindeer Antler (Rangifer tarandus) from Red Deer Antler (Cervus elaphus) Using X-Ray Micro-Tomography Coupled with SVM Classifiers.
Over the last decade, biomedical 3D-imaging tools have gained widespread use in the analysis of prehistoric bone artefacts. While initial attempts to characterise the major categories used in osseous industry (i.e. bone, antler, and dentine/ivory) have been successful, the taxonomic determination of prehistoric artefacts remains to be investigated. The distinction between reindeer and red deer ...
متن کاملHeat Recirculation Effect on the Structure of Wood Dust Flame Propagation
A model for heat-recirculating micro combustor is developed. It investigates the structure of laminar, one-dimensional and steady state flame propagation in uniformly premixed wood particles with considering the effects of heat recirculation caused by configuration of micro combustor. The flame structure is divided into three regions: a preheat-devolatilization zone where the rate of the gas-ph...
متن کاملReduction of ring artefacts in high resolution micro-CT reconstructions.
High resolution micro-CT images are often corrupted by ring artefacts, prohibiting quantitative analysis and hampering post processing. Removing or at least significantly reducing such artefacts is indispensable. However, since micro-CT systems are pushed to the extremes in the quest for the ultimate spatial resolution, ring artefacts can hardly be avoided. Moreover, as opposed to clinical CT s...
